LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — On Sunday afternoon, January 6, Sullivan West rang in the new year by hosting a fundraising basketball game between a home team comprised of teachers and staff pitted against the internationally known Harlem Wizards.
The event drew a crowd of nearly 600 folks who were thrilled to watch the antics of the Wizards, while the home team showed off their abilities in the game of hoops.
At the final buzzer, the Wizards pulled off a bit of magic combined with a mercy streak as they won by a final score of 80-67.
But when you’re raising more than $3,000 to fund projects and programs at the local elementary school, who’s really keeping score and posting numbers in the scorebook.
