NARROWSBURG, NY — The town bridge over Little Lake Erie was recently reported to need repairs. Town of Tusten Highway Department will be making the repairs. Yesterday they closed the bridge to one lane. A sign was put up and temporary barriers were placed until Jersey barriers arrive.
The bridge will remain one-lane until repairs are done. They had hoped to finish this year, but it won’t be complete until next year. Tusten Highway Superintendent Glenn Swendsen said in a Facebook post, “[We] will be making the bridge over Lake Erie a one lane bridge until we can get repaired. Was hoping to get it repaired this year but the engineer is saying next year. Doesn't get a lot of traffic so hopefully won't be too much of a burden.”
He also said there will be no weight restrictions.
