Saturday, March 10, 2012 - Three separate traffic stops kept Troopers busy on Saturday.
1) Christoph J. Gros, age 38 of Hewitt, NJ was stopped on Mamakating Road for Failing to Dim Headlights and an Equipment violation. He was charged with misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated. He was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Mamakating Court on March 22, 2012.
2) James M. Mear, age 49 of Livingston Manor, NY was stopped on Sullivan Street, Wurtsboro while operating a 2000 Ford F250. He was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol. He was released on tickets returnable to the Town of Mamakating Court on March 14, 2012.
3) John Jones, age 39 of Bloomingburg, NY was stopped on Sullivan Street, Wurtsboro while driving a 1996 Jeep. He was found to possess Marijuana. A Trooper trained as a Drug Recognition Expert examined Mr. Jones and he was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. He was also ticketed for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He will answer both charges in the Town of Mamakating Court on March 14, 2012.
