Swan Lake man arrested for nearly $20,000 in child support

Press release: A Swan Lake man is in the Sullivan County Jail after being arrested for owing $19861.50 in child support. Harold B. Wilson turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday and was charged with Non Support of a Child, a class A Misdemeanor. Wilson was wanted by the Sullivan County Welfare Fraud Task Force, who had tracked him to a residence in Delaware County.

“The Task Force is currently tracking several dead beat parents”,  said Sheriff Mike Schiff. “Mr. Wilson made the correct choice when he found out we were coming for him”. Wilson was arraigned before Town of Thompson Judge Sharon Jankiewicz and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $2000 bail pending a future court date.
