SULLIVAN, NY — Suspect arrested in an undercover operation in connection with July 12, 2023 burglary at 89 Brittman Road in the Town of Bethel on September 17, 2023.

The homeowner told deputies that a safe containing money and precious metals had been removed from the residence.

Based on the investigation of the incident deputies were able to identify two suspects - Anthony Boyce, 30, and his brother, Dakota Boyce, 31.

Anthony Boyce was taken into custody later that day. Dakota Boyce managed to elude deputies for the next two months until he was arrested by an undercover deputy who met him to buy merchandise he listed for sale on the internet.

“The suspect was very surprised when the deputies jumped out of the car and arrested him,” said Sheriff Mike Schiff. “He thought we gave up looking for him”.

Dakota Boyce was charged with felony Burglary and Grand Larceny. He was arraigned before Town of Bethel Judge Kevin Rhyne and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $5000.00 cash bail.
