MONTICELLO, NY — At 6:58 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, Monticello police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at 377 East Broadway in the Village of Monticello. Monticello officers arrived on the scene within one minute and located 37-year-old male bleeding from a gunshot wound to his right thigh. The victim was transported to Garnet Health Catskill Medical Center in Harris by Mobile Medic Ambulance.  

The victim of the shooting was interviewed at the hospital and is refusing to cooperate in the investigation. The suspects were described as two males wearing all-black clothing and black face masks. Anyone with information about this incident can call Monticello Police in confidence at 845/794-4422. 

Assisting Monticello police at the scene were New York State Police and Sullivan County Sheriff Deputies.
