HONESDALE, PA — Following considerable deliberations, the Roots & Rhythm Music & Arts Festival Board of Directors has chosen to put this year’s festival on hold. The event originally planned for June 15 will regrettably not take place on the third Saturday in June as it has for the past 14 years. Any decisions to reschedule in 2020 will be made based on sound public health guidance.
At the appropriate time, the board and committee will take the proper steps to notify valued sponsors, participants and fans as to any updates for the festival. Organizers are still working toward celebrating a 15th year when the time is right.
Roots & Rhythm is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. To find out more about how National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities, visit www.arts.gov.
MONTICELLO, NY — Barbara Strong, founder and CEO of The Allyson Whitney Foundation, has donated 10 Apple iPads to the Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC). This technology allows patients to see and speak to their loved ones.
Barbara Strong said, “While our work for young adults with rare cancers continues, the thought of a patient not seeing their loved one in a hospital cuts deep. We are contributing this technology to CRMC so that patients’ morale and strength to fight their illnesses will not be affected by not seeing their loved ones.”
