MILFORD, PA — A Pike County man has been arrested in connection with the overdose death of another man on February 1, 2018. The overdose victim was
Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin and the Pennsylvania State Police announced the arrest on February 8, 2019.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, when Read was discovered deceased at his residence, heroin packets with a stamp labeling them “Death Bed” were also found at the scene. Investigators found that Read’s
State Police arrested Piekenbrock on February 1, 2018 on an outstanding drug warrant. During that arrest
Pike County Coroner Christopher Brighton ruled that the cause of Read’s death was heroin toxicity.
“We will continue to investigate, charge and prosecute the individuals who are responsible for peddling death into our community through this poison,” said DA Tokin.
