BETHEL, NY — The Stray Cat Gallery’s next show, “Four Visions,” featuring the work of photographers Jerry Cohen, Charlie Dill, Greg Fiske and J.G. Riley, opens on Friday, September 13, with an artists’ reception on Saturday, September 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. The show runs through September 25.
For the show, the four photographers, all of them local, agreed to take shots of sites in Sullivan County in 10 different categories, each providing his unique perspective. The list of categories includes a downtown area, wildlife, a Sullivan Renaissance site, and an architectural interior, among others.
The photographers bring a broad range of experience and interests to their differing takes on Sullivan County. Professionally trained, longtime photographer Cohen is accustomed to photographing a wide range of subjects, saying “my interests are as varied as the world around me.” Fiske, a saxophonist/music producer who is newer to the art world, has specialized in photographing fellow musicians as well as nature. Dill is particularly passionate about nature and the outdoors. Riley writes of photographing the world around us, “Photography allows me to capture the song and share it with others.”
Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday, 11 to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 to 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 to 5 p.m. Visit www.straycatgallery.com.
