LIBERTY, NY — A plant sale offered annually by Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County Master Gardener (MG) Volunteers will be held on May 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gerald J. Skoda Extension Education Center.
The selection of plants will include perennials, annuals and vegetables. Locally handcrafted owl boxes will also be for sale. Owls can be beneficial near a garden because they are natural predators of many pests like mice, voles and moles.
Children can plant a “garden in a bucket” to take home. There will be face painting by Miss Sunshine, raffle prizes and free refreshments. Sullivan County Master Gardeners will be on hand to offer free gardening advice and assistance with soil testing.
