NARROWSBURG, NY — The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance presents Lard Dog & The Band of Shy on Saturday, June 2 at 2 p.m. at the Tusten Theatre, 210 Bridge St. The event is sponsored by Homestead School.

Lard Dog is an all-ages musical extravaganza that promotes positive messages of creativity, acceptance and frivolity—with massive amounts of absurdism thrown in. Lard Dog and his six-piece Band of Shy invite you to their unique audio-visual universe, complete with catchy songs, multimedia graphics and interactive props, including a pretzel toss. Come play along and slurp the noodle of life—for “Life’s a Real Dream.”

“Truly one of the oddest and most compelling afternoons of unbridled silliness I may have ever experienced,” said Symphony Space’s Darren Critz. “If there’s not a ‘children’s cult classic’ genre of family entertainment, there is now.”

The show isn’t just for families—Lard Dog has earned New York street cred for late-night adult shows at venues like CBGB, Joe’s Pub and Symphony Space. The cast includes Steven Erdman, Sharaé Moultrie, Jeremy Beck, Pablo Kessel, Rosa Avila, Benjamin Willis and Jason Dole. Last year, the band released its new album, “DREAMERS,” and landed the #1 chart-topping song on Sirius XM with their single, “I Like.” They recently performed at Lollapalooza and will be at Austin City Limits this October.
