Detectives from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Lake Huntington Woman in connection with a scam involving a lottery machine.
Jennifer Penny , 27, was charged by the Sheriff’s Office with Grand Larceny in the fourth degree after she accessed a Quick Draw machine at the Villa Roma in July. The suspect, who is now a former employee, allegedly printed nine tickets worth $850 dollars.
Seven of the tickets were winners in the amount of $720 dollars. Penny then allegedly cashed the winning tickets at convenience stores in Fosterdale and Liberty. Detectives used video surveillance to crack the case. Jennifer Penny was arraigned before Judge John Kramer in the Town Delaware and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
