BEACH LAKE, PA — Richard Williams will speak about the Unitarian Universalist Pennsylvania Legislative Advocacy Network, or UU Plan, at the Berlin Township Community Center December 2 beginning at 10:15 a.m.
This group works together to “embrace, articulate and advocate for all goals of social and environmental justice,” according to UU PLan. “Some of the current political trends in PA are directly threatening to UU values regarding the rights and dignity of individuals, the democratic process, caring for our environment, and the rights of women and people of color.” The group hosts monthly online justice team meetings, puts out action alerts and leads lobbying efforts to advance legislation it favors.
