HAWLEY, PA — On Monday, February 21—Presidents’ Day—Hawley Forward will host an open house at the Hawley Hub, beginning at 3 p.m. The event is a chance to learn more about Hawley Forward and its plans for the future.
Hawley Forward is open to all in the greater Hawley community, but emphasizes providing a safe place where young people of all backgrounds are welcome.
The Hawley Hub was established in 2021 as a venue for study and enrichment opportunities. It is part of a network of a community hub that will “provide building blocks for a service delivery network tailored to the specific needs and desires of each individual region,” a spokesperson said.
The hub and Hawley Forward want to bridge the gap between the community and the students growing up there.
“Changes in the community and a renewed interest in rural culture and lifestyle has citizens seeking connection to the internet, entrepreneurship support and services, and social and educational activities,” said board member Sarah Clauss.
