Guided birding walk
SWAN LAKE, NY — On Saturday, June 22, the Delaware Highlands Conservancy is hosting a guided birding walk through part of the conservancy’s woodland trail. Peter Wulfhorst, member of the Gifford Pinchot Audubon Society, will guide the walk.
The walk begins at 120 Segar and Rosenberg Rd. A field guide will be provided, but bring binoculars. Dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.

Observe the unfolding of the season
SULLIVAN COUNTY — Laura Silverman, founding naturalist at The Outside Institute, will lead a free, early-morning walk on Tuesday, June 25, to soak up stress-reducing phytoncides emitted by the trees, listen to birdsong and learn about natural phenomena, including wild edibles and medicinal plants.
The walk, from 8 to 10 a.m., is limited to 12 people and registration is required. Details of the location will be emailed directly to participants. Check the forecast and wear rain gear if necessary. Sunscreen, tick repellent and a water bottle are recommended. Register by visiting www.theoutsideinstitute.org/contact.
