NARROWSBURG, NY — This ice sculpture, silhouetted against the railing of Narrowsburg’s Main Street observation deck and the far banks of the Delaware River, was one of several fashioned at the festival by Sculpted Ice Works of Lakeville, PA.
The River Reporter’s “River Talk” columnist Scott Rando captured this shot of Bill Streeter, a presenter from the Delaware Valley Raptor Center whose live bird presentation has been a perennial favorite at EagleFest, with Julia, an adult Golden eagle. Last weekend marked the festival’s 10th anniversary. Rando said, “When you study the primary and secondary flight feathers, and the interwoven contour feathers on the leading edge of the wing, you can see that Julia is one of nature’s perfect flying machines.”
