DINGMANS FERRY, PA — The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) at 538 Emery Road will offer several cross-country skiing sessions in January. Three regular sessions will take place on Sunday, January 15 and Sunday, January 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. and on Saturday, January 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children. Learn the basics of cross-country skiing and practice on an old logging road loop. You decide how many loops to ski. Skis, poles and boots provided; register with shoe size to guarantee a spot.
There will also be a Bridge the Gap session on the McDade Trail on Saturday, January 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The session is free, thanks to funding from the William Penn Foundation. Again, skis, poles and boots will be provided; register with shoe size to guarantee a spot.
