HONESDALE, PA — On November 10 at 7:30 p.m. there will be a contra dance at The Cooperage, 1030 Main Street. Contra dancing is a style of partnered folk dancing found around the world but particularly popular in the U.S. A live band will play traditional songs, while a live caller will lead participants through various dances. It’s great fun for all ages. No need to bring a partner, and don’t worry if you’ve never contra danced before—they will teach you how.
Suggested donation is $10 per adult. Kids under the age of 15 are free. The Cooperage is operated by the The Cooperage Project, a non-profit organization that seeks to build community through arts, education and good times. Visit www.thecooperageproject.org or call 570/253-2020.
