LIBERTY, NY — The Town of Liberty and the Windjammers, a group dedicated to the preservation and performance of circus music, are sponsoring a concert and memorial plaque dedication to composer Russell Alexander on Monday, July 20 at 1:30 p.m. Alexander was a famous circus band instrumentalist and composer who died in Liberty in 1915.
A band of about 30 musicians, including Charlie Barbuti, the town supervisor, who will be playing tuba, will be performing the music on the Liberty Stage, 119 North Main St.
