‘Spring into Action’ silent auction
BEACH LAKE, PA — On Sunday, March 23 at 6 p.m., the Beach Lake United Methodist Church (BLUMC) will host a silent auction. Admission is $1 and includes light refreshments. Food business owners called to apply for entrepreneurial training program
LIBERTY, NY — Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCE Sullivan) is accepting applications for a series of eight classes, “Entrepreneurial Training for Food Business.” The enrollment fee is $50 and covers all eight classes. Community organizations making a difference
BEACH LAKE, PA — On Sunday, March 24 at 10:15 a.m. in the Berlin Township Community Center, representatives from Growing Older Together, Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County and Victims Intervention Program will speak about their efforts and work within the community. The Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, along with RISE of Sullivan County, will present each group with a $1,000 check from the fall Bud Rue Campaign to benefit their efforts.
Sounds like teen spirit
HONESDALE, PA — On Friday, March 22 from 7 to 9 p.m., The Cooperage and Honesdale High School’s Keep On Rockin’ Club is teaming up for a teens’ open mic. All ages are invited to the show, but only the youth will perform. Donations will be collected at the door.
Poster design contest for “Peace, Love, & Trout”
LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — “Peace, Love, & Trout” is the theme of this year’s Trout Parade, which will take place on Saturday, June 8, and organizers are now accepting submissions for poster design. Submissions are due by the end of Monday, April 15.
The winner of the poster design contest will recieve a $250 gift certificate to the Frame Game & Art Shoppe in Monticello. Five runners-up will receive a $50 gift certificate to Blick Art Materials.
