SHOHOLA, PA — The Twin and Walker Creeks Watershed Conservancy’s annual meeting will have fun for all ages. This meeting will take place on Saturday, October 6, starting at 10 a.m. in the Walker Lake Clubhouse, 100 Walker Lake Rd. The meeting is free and open to everyone.

At the clubhouse Stephanie Sherman, director of education for the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC), will lead the audience on an hour of exploration for native insects in the forest and lake. Participants will take home milkweed seeds to plant.

After the presentation, judging of the photo contest will take place. Students and adults are encouraged to submit nature photos taken in Pike County between October 2017 and October 2018. We are hoping contestants will attend the annual meeting. Lastly, bottles of wine will be raffled off for those 21 years and older. There is no charge for the raffle tickets.

More information, including rules to the photo contest, have been posted on the Conservancy’s website www.twcwc.com.
