HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania’s 20th senatorial district spans from the Delaware River and Pocono Mountains in the east to the Susquehanna River and Endless Mountains in the west, with unique communities dotting the landscape in between.
Sen. Lisa Baker invites residents to share the sights and scenes from their areas with their 20th District neighbors.
She’s encouraging people to snap pictures while they’re out and about in the district, which encompasses all of Pike, Wayne and Wyoming counties and parts of Luzerne, Monroe and Susquehanna counties, and submit them for inclusion in the contest through August 31.
The contest is open to all individuals, but photos must have been taken within the boundaries of the 20th District. Photos must fall into one of the following categories: animals, architecture, events, landscape, nature, or people.
Once all the photos have been submitted, those going to www.senatorbaker.com/photo-contest will be able to vote for their favorite photos in each of the six categories until Sept. 30.
The winning photos, based on the public vote, will be featured in the 2015 Scenes from the 20th Senatorial District Calendar. The photo receiving the most votes overall will be highlighted on the calendar’s cover.
