HAWLEY, PA — The Northeast Pennsylvania Audubon Festival will be held on July 16 and 17 at the Wallenpaupack School complex on Route 6. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Thirty of the nation’s finest wildlife and nature artists, as well as several European nature artists and photographers, will present their work. Eighty juried craftsmen will be demonstrating and selling their works, as well.
There will be hand-crafted door prizes, a nature film festival, nature center exhibits and home-made food. The Delaware Valley Raptor Center will have live raptors on site, the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center will present live animals, as will the Binghamton Zoo, so people can observe them close up and ask questions. Presentations will be made about our Pennsylvania state parks and forest lands by expert Marcie Mowry, president of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundations.
Admission costs $5 and children under the age of 12 years admitted free. Visit www.audubonfestival.com.
