MILFORD, PA — Kindred Spirits Arts Program will hold a special music-meets-nature event at the Hotel Fauchere on Thursday, August 2, in the Delmonico Room at 7 p.m.
The program, titled "From Cows to Cadenzas," will feature opera diva (and conservationist) Linda Lane Smith, soprano, who grew up in the Pacific Northwest in the family of a noted sustainable forester.
Smith, accompanied by Robert Wilson on piano will connect music and forest, art and science. Her performance of music by Schubert, Verdi, Brahms, Wolf, and Rogers and Hammerstein will be accompanied by a slide show of nature photographs.
Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased at the door or in advance through www.kindredspiritsarts.org or at Holy Crepes, 224 Broad St. and at Main Avenue Books, 202 Main Avenue, Hawley.
