LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — A Cochection man has been arrested after deputies from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s office received an anonymous tip that he was growing marijuana outside of his residence.
Michael Stewart, 71, of Lake Huntington, was charged with felony possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing cannibis after deputies found over a pound of the substance and packaging materials.
The plants were being grown in plain view, at the main entrance to the residence. Stewart appeared before Town of Cochecton Judge Craig Fine and was released on $4,500 bail.
