Several awards were given out to dedicated 4-H members at the Tri-Gal 4-H Club’s end-of-the-year party earlier this month.

The following members celebrated milestone years in the program: Emma Modrovsky, five-year member; Brea Rutledge and Carter Terysen, 10-year members and Jarod Smith, 11-year member.

The group’s outstanding beginner members for 2018 are Peter Modrovsky and Channing Rutledge. Channing was also named outstanding junior member for Wayne County. Honorary beginner members: Olyvea Burke, Jeanine Busnel and Elektra Kehagais. Emma Modrovsky was named the outstanding intermediate member for the Tri-Gal and Wayne County clubs. Honorary intermediate members: Paige Fiume and Abigail Price. Outstanding senior members: Kate Price, Brooke Rutledge and Jarod Smith. Honorary senior members: Alexa Morea, Brea Rutledge—who was also named Wayne County secretary for 2018 and Wayne County senior member—and Carter Terysen, who was also named Wayne County senior member of the year. Kaiden Yattaw was named a winner in his age division for the Clover Bud county coloring contest.

The 4-H club said good-bye to the following members who have aged-out of the program: Tim Brown, Jarod Smith and Carter Terysen. Each was presented with a money clip and a 4-H alumni pin. Sara Terysen, who has served as a club key leader, has “retired” from the position. She was presented with a clock and flowers from the club. She will remain a volunteer at the club level. Claire Goldstein and Kaiden Yattaw graduated from the Clover Bud level to a full 4-H membership. For more information about the Wayne County 4-H program, 570/253-5790 ext. 4110.
