ALBANY, NY — At a press conference on March 9, New York State Sen. John J. Bonacic joined his colleagues in the Senate and the Assembly, as well as highway superintendents and transportation advocates from across the state, calling on Gov. Cuomo and legislative leaders to increase state funding for local roads, bridges and culverts in the final 2017-2018 state budget. Wednesday’s press conference coincides with this week’s “Local Roads Matter” advocacy campaign in Albany sponsored by county and town highway superintendents associations.
