Winter semi-formal held

HAWLEY, PA — The Honesdale High School Student Council held its winter semi-formal on January 27 at the Silver Birches Resort on Lake Wallenpaupack. Some 355 students and 12 chaperones attended the event. A student from the high school, Kameron Slish, from Nicky Nick D.J. Service, provided music for the evening.

'Absence of Light' at The Cocoon

HAWLEY, PA — The Cocoon Coffee House has the caffeine you need to get you going in the morning, but they also offer art exhibits to stimulate your intellect as well. Throughout the winter months, the installation on display is “Absence of Light,” the brainchild of Narrowsburg abstract artist Claudine Luchsinger.

Hawley Winterfest

HAWLEY, PA — Hawley Winterfest will take place from Friday, December 8 through Sunday, December 10 this year. It will include a wide variety of events including open houses by businesses and museums, a beer tour in which you can participate on all three days, an Ugly Sweater Party from 8 p.m.

Choralaires perform 'One Holy Night'

NORTHEAST PA — The Wayne Choralaires will present their holiday concert, “One Holy Night,” on Sunday, November 26, at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 11th and Church Streets, Honesdale; and on Sunday, December 3, at 2 p.m. at B.V.M. Queen of Peace Church, Church and Chestnut Streets, Hawley.
