HONESDALE, PA — There will be an author’s talk and book signing for “Materials on Hand,” by K. Page Nolker, on Tuesday, May 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Cooperage. Written as a poem a day the last year of her mother’s life, “Materials on Hand” shines a light on the fine line between heartache and beauty. Nolker hosts a book discussion on death and dying the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m. at Loose Leaf Pages. Trading on her more than two decades as a copywriter and creative consultant, Nolker sees her work as part of a larger cultural need to reframe the experiences of dying and care giving as sacred opportunities to be embraced rather than feared.
The event is co-sponsored event by the Friends of the Wayne County Public Library and Growing Older Together. Coffee, tea and refreshments will be served. The suggested donation is $10. All proceeds benefit the Wayne County Public Library.
