MILFORD, PA — Kindred Spirits Arts will debut its 2017 programs with “When Art Meets Music: Elizabethen Era,” on Saturday, May 20 at the Milford Theatre. The Bacheler [sic] Consort returns to Milford with music and song by Renaissance composers such as John Dowland and William Byrd, complemented by a slideshow of paintings by artists of that period (e.g. Caravaggio). The same group will perform at Grey Towers on June 17 and the Hawley Silk Mill on June 18. Other performers this season include The London Trio, Sounds of Brazil with Os Clavelitos and the PUBLIQuartet.

Kindred Spirits features nationally and internationally known musicians playing classical music, contemporary folk rock, early music, Latin jazz, operetta and more. Children under 15 are admitted free, and some of the artists will give workshops for Delaware Valley High School students.

Tickets for Kindred Spirits concerts cost $20 at the door or $15 when bought in advance at www.kindredspirit sarts.org/ or at Holy Crepes, 224 Broad St. There is no advance discount for those concerts held in venues other than the Milford Theatre. A 2017 Season Pass ($110) guarantees admission to all events from May through December, saves attendees money and is transferable. Dates, artists and programs are subject to change.
