GLEN SPEY, NY — The Kadampa World Peace Temple’s 10th annual Fun Fair will take place on Saturday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The community extravaganza features an all-day concert, more than 40 artist vendors, fresh vegetarian food and juice bar, and a variety of activities for people of all ages and backgrounds.

The concert will showcase both local and regional musicians including Mike Zichella, Cathy Paty and Company, Larry Zampino, Anjimile, Queen Bee and The Hive, and Mar Malade Melodies, making for an eclectic mix of musical genres of live instrumentals,  country, acoustic, indie, Motown, reggae and more.

Kids and families are welcome and can enjoy an entire day of entertainment for children. The kids’ carnival features a bounce tent, fair games, kids’ hike, storytelling, sing-a-longs and various craft tables. Bubbles the Clown will be blowing big bubbles with the kids, making balloon animals and performing a magic show at 1:30 p.m. Affordably priced vegetarian meals will be served all day.

You can also explore the 82 acres of natural beauty including three onsite nature trails. Inside the World Peace Temple, drop into a guided meditation and temple tour offered hourly throughout the fair, or peruse the gift shop and Buddhist Bookstore. The World Peace Cafe & Espresso Bar features organic, locally roasted coffee and will be offering gourmet desserts and treats as well as views of the pristine natural surroundings.
