HONESDALE, PA — Leendary performer David Gans will take the stage at The Cooperage, 1030 Main St., on Friday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m., with a meet-and-greet and book signing at 6 p.m. The show is titled “Music & Tales from the Golden Road: A Night with David Gans.” Gans is known most famously for his nationally-syndicated radio programs “The Grateful Dead Hour” and “Tales from the Golden Road.”
A David Gans “solo electric” performance is likely to consist of several elements: country-blues-style finger picking; loop-based improvisations created live in the moment; sweetly sung ballads, original or borrowed; Grateful Dead songs reinterpreted to suit his voice and guitar; wry observations of the music-festival subculture and the larger world; soulful and passionate political commentary; favorites from the folk-rock canon of the last 50 years.
This event is made possible by Meagher Law. Tickets cost $20 per person for concert only or $30 per person for the meet-and-greet. Visit www.dgans.com.
