LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Catskill Art Society will screen the film “Chuck, Lost Object Found” at the Laundry King, 65 Main St., with a tandem art installation of photographs, treasures and ephemera related to the Chuck story. The exhibition is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays May 4 through 27. Film screenings will take place at 7 p.m. on May 5, 12, 19 and 26. To coordinate viewing on other days call 212/951-0439 or somethingsomething372@gmail.com.

An abandoned house, an abandoned past: a chance discovery leads Claire Coleman, Catherine Skalda and Joanna Hartell on a quest to piece together the story of mysterious man who lived in Livingston Manor in 1985. Using the ephemera that were found strewn around the house they tell the story of the poignant life of a remarkable person who struggled to find happiness in an unforgiving world. From Brooklyn to Livingston Manor, to speech pathologist to photographer, from son/brother/husband to lover, Chuck’s story is touching and effective. The exhibition at the Laundry King includes ephemera and detritus from Chuck’s life that inspired the film.

The suggested donation is $8. For more information, please visit www.catskillartsociety.org.
