NARROWSBURG, NY — Three Stones Press, the publishing arm of Two Rivers Zen Community (TRZC), will celebrate the publication of “Solitary Moon: New Waka by Seiso Paul Cooper” on Friday, May 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A reading and book signing will be held at 76 Main St., second floor.Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free, and donations to TRZC will be gratefully accepted.

Waka is a classical Japanese poetic form. In the introduction to his book, Seiso Cooper explains how “waka function as spontaneous snapshots that one takes in, experiences, intuits, perceives with the sense faculties and with the heart… waka can be full of life, energy and emotion freely expressed.” The poems in the book are enhanced by Kyoshin Penelope Lohr’s original ink brush drawings.

One-hundred percent of the net proceeds generated from sales of Three Stones publications support the operating expenses of Two Rivers Zen Community. For more information visit tworiverszen.org.
