I’m glad to see local protests against ICE raids. I am concerned about our loss of due process in this country. We are guaranteed the right to defend ourselves in a court of law by the U.S. Constitution—both citizens and noncitizens. But immigrants are being rounded up and deported by ICE with no due process.
In Nazi concentration camps, immigrants and refugees were forced to wear blue triangles on their uniforms to indicate their status. The Blue Triangle Campaign follows in the path of LGBTQ+ activists who reclaimed the pink triangle as a powerful symbol of defiance. Wear the blue triangle to say “I stand with immigrants!”
