November's end

Posted

November, a beauteous time of the year,

Caught between breezes and blizzards,

A cross section of gloomy and cheer,

All by the hands of the wizards.

Morning cotton and nighttime wool,

Late mums and frosty pumpkins,

Afternoons by a crystal pool,

Firelit evenings and muffins.

The calm between Autumn and Winter

To gather your thoughts and needs,

To surround all in warmth and protection

When plunged into Jack Frost's deep freeze.
