Milford, PA. - The Pike County District Attorney’s Office announced that Everett McKean, who was wanted in connection with charges related to the sexual abuse of children was arrested this past weekend by Seaside Heights Police Department in New Jersey.

McKean is charged in Pike County with three counts of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse Less than 13 Years of Age, six counts of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse Less than 16 years of age, five counts of Indecent Assault of Person Less than 13 years of age, two counts of Corruption of Minors, five counts of Indecent Assault of Person Less than 16 years of age, one count of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child, two counts of Aggravated Indecent Assault – Complainant less than 16 years of age, one count of Aggravated Indecent Assault – Complainant less than 13 years of age, and two counts of Indecent Assault of Person less than 13 years of age. 

McKean is facing local charges in New Jersey and the District Attorney’s Office will seek to have him extradited to Pike County as quickly as possible. Once McKean is returned to Pike County he will be arraigned before a Magisterial District Judge for the setting of bail and a preliminary hearing on the charges will be held.

A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
