Dear beloved readers of the opinion pages,

If you’re going to write us letters about the upcoming midterms, please please please get them to me by the end of the day on Thursday, October 22.

We ask that letters be limited to 350 words or less; I will edit it down if you send your full opinion of 1,500 words. I might remember to send it to you for approval after editing, but this week? No guarantees, folks, sorry.

The standard letter rules apply: Be civil. Be the wonderful, intelligent adults I know you are. If the letter might get folks sued for libel, it ain’t running. If you’re unsure, email me at the address below and I’ll figure out the answer.

Check the October 29 issue for its election content!

Email your letters to copyeditor@riverreporter.com.
