HAWLEY, PA — An alleged burglar in Palmyra Township, Pike County—identified as Endy noel Camacho Mongue, 32—was identified in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) databases following his arrest by the Pennsylvania State Police.
On May 5, Pennsylvania State Troopers responded to an apartment located in Palmyra Township, Pike County, for a report of burglary.
Troopers interviewed the victims of the incident—a 16-year-old girl and her 56-year-old grandmother. According to the state police, "The suspect broke into the juvenile's room through the window, woke her up and leaned over the bed and put his hands on her arms and [said] words to the effect of, 'shush, be quiet' and 'it's ok.' The male then fled back out the window."
Troopers made contact with the neighbor in the next apartment over, and observed a man matching the description of the suspect. He resisted arrest while the officers tried to take him into custody, but he was ultimately taken into custody, where he was identified as Camacho.
State police searched their databases and found that ICE had indicated Camacho was not in the United States legally, according to the state police. Pike County ICE offices advised that an ICE detainer has been placed on Camacho.
A criminal complaint was prepared for Camacho with two counts of burglary and one count each of criminal trespass, loitering and prowling, and resisting arrest. He was lodged at Pike County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.
