HONESDALE, PA — The Holiday Toy Drive, now in its 10th year, is led by the Zipper Junction Project, which is partnering with the Wayne County Ford and Bold Gold Media Holiday Toy Drive Challenge. (Those in need of toys have until October 31 to apply online.)
Toy drive organizers will work with the Wallenpaupack Area School District. The toy drive is supported by Wayne and Pike County officials, businesses, school districts and the community at large. It also collaborates with other toy drives.
“2026 marks the 10th consecutive year of the Holiday Toy Drive. Once again, our community is uniting to provide meaningful holiday experiences for hundreds of children who might otherwise go without,” according to a press release. “This initiative is made possible by the continued generosity of individuals and organizations throughout Wayne and Pike counties. Monetary donations remain greatly needed and sincerely appreciated, particularly this year. We encourage those who can contribute early, as early donations support effective planning and help us extend the program’s impact across the community.”
Individuals and businesses are encouraged to host their own events that would lead to toy and monetary donations. Donations will also be accepted at the train stations during the Stourbridge Line Santa Express excursions.
The Zipper Junction Project is always looking for new event ideas to fill collection boxes in order to raise funds The community can visit www.ZipperJunction.org and click on the official logo of the truck carrying the big bag of toys.
Anyone interested in making a monetary donation, becoming a sponsor, offering a toy drop-off site, or joining as an event partner can also visit the website for details.
