HONESDALE, PA — Wayne Memorial Hospital recently recognized Medical Assistant Appreciation Week, honoring the dedicated professionals who play a vital role in patient care every day.
Medical assistants are often the first friendly face patients see during their visit—greeting them, recording vital signs, assisting providers and helping ensure each appointment runs smoothly. “Their work blends compassion with clinical skill, keeping our offices organized, efficient and welcoming,” Wayne Memorial noted.
“Medical assistants are truly the heart of our care teams,” said Bridget Revello-Slezak, chief of physician services. “They balance technical expertise with kindness, supporting both our providers and our patients in ways that make a real difference.”
“From managing patient records to preparing exam rooms and assisting with procedures, medical assistants keep health care moving forward. Their dedication, flexibility and teamwork help us provide the highest quality care across all of our locations,” she said.
“During Medical Assistant Week, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to our medical assistants, both on campus and at our satellite locations, for their commitment to excellence and for the positive impact they make in the lives of our patients.”
