In this section, we’ve shown you a wide range of the possibilities for Passive House construction. From a library retrofit to a new-build residential community to a 19th century sailing ship, the sky is the limit for this innovative scientific standard for sustainable construction.

But what if your curiosity about Passive House construction extends beyond the limits of these pages?

Among the resources available at passivehouse.com, the official website of the Passive House Institute, there’s a database hosted at passivehouse-database.org which compiles information on Passive Houses throughout the world. There’s 6296 buildings in the database as of time of writing, including 48 in New York State and nine in Pennsylvania.

Have a trawl through the database, and maybe you’ll pick up some inspiration for the stylings on your dream home, or maybe you’ll see a house you’ve eyed for years and come away with a new appreciation for the architectural design behind its creation.
