MILFORD, PA ― The Pike County Board of Elections inducted six Pike County voters into the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame at the July 17 Pike County Commissioners meeting. 

In Pennsylvania, a voter who has voted in 50 consecutive elections is eligible to be entered into the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame and to receive a certificate from the governor commending this achievement. This year’s inductees in Pike County are Marilyn Dellert, Patricia Greeves, Linda Harding, Donna Jennings, James Jennings and John Kiesendahl.

“Life gets in the way, family emergencies happen, cars break down, and in Northeast Pennsylvania, bad weather happens,” said Nadeen Manzoni, director of the Pike County Board of Elections. “For these people to have made it to the polls every single election, every first Tuesday in November, is quite an accomplishment.”

The applications will be submitted to the state, which will immortalize these dedicated voters in the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame database.

PA Sen. Lisa Baker (R-139) and PA Rep. Jeff Olsommer (R-20) attended to celebrate the inductees’ exemplary voting records.

“When we think about the hallmarks of our country, it is civic participation and engagement and selecting the men and woman who serve our communities, both at the community level, the county, the state and the nation,” Baker said. “I am honored to have certificates to recognize your efforts and to say congratulations.”
