SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The start of summer means the return of Sullivan Fresh farmers’ markets for the season. The mission of Sullivan Fresh is to make fresh fruits and vegetables affordable and easily available to communities in Sullivan County through outreach, incentives, nutrition education, cooking demonstrations and multilingual materials, while creating a sustainable sales market for local farmers, Sullivan 180 said.

At the Monticello Farmers Market and the Sullivan Fresh Market-on-the-Move, you can pay using Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/EBT) benefits, Farmer Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) checks, Senior FMNP, Fresh Rx coupons, Double Up Food Bucks and Sullivan Fresh Bucks.

The schedule for the farmers’ markets is as follows:

Sullivan Fresh Monticello, June-September: Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 10 Jefferson St.
