SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its 2027 Board of Directors. Board members will serve a three-year term from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029. Nominations are due Saturday, October 10 by 5 p.m.
A meet-the-candidates mixer will be held on Thursday, October 15 at the Quiet Saint in Grahamsville.
The chamber said that it is seeking business and community leaders who want to help shape the organization’s direction, strengthen the local business community and advance its mission of strengthening the community by advancing a vibrant, sustainable local economy.
Board members help guide chamber strategy, support programs and initiatives, advocate for businesses, build connections and serve as ambassadors for the organization.
Candidates must be chamber members in good standing and be willing to actively participate in board meetings, programs, events, committees and other chamber initiatives. Board meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of each month.
Nominations can be submitted by chamber members, current board members, or through self-nomination. Nominees must approve their nomination and submit a nomination form, professional background or resume, community involvement and leadership experience, and a statement of interest.
Member voting closes on October 31.
The new board will be announced on November 12 at the Your Partner for Success 2026 annual awards gala.
