ELLENVILLE, NY — The New York State Police in Troop F announce the arrest of Angelica Sullivan, age 30, of Ellenville, NY, in connection with the death of her 10-year-old daughter, Kathleen E. Pulido, in the Village of Ellenville, Ulster County.
On August 18, 2025, members of the Ellenville Police Department responded to a residence on Park Street in the Village of Ellenville for a report of an unresponsive 10-year-old female. Kathleen was transported to Ellenville Regional Hospital, where lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced deceased.
The New York State Police subsequently assumed the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Kathleen's death.
Following an extensive investigation by the New York State Police Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Sullivan was arrested on September 24, 2026, and charged with Murder in the Second Degree, a class A-I felony.
The New York State Police were assisted throughout the investigation by the Ellenville Police Department, Ulster County Sheriff's Office, Ulster County District Attorney's Office, Ulster County Child Advocacy Center, Ulster County Child Protective Services, Orange County Family Violence Unit and Orange County Child Protective Services.
The investigation remains ongoing.

“Investigators demonstrated professionalism, persistence, and resilience throughout this case. Despite the difficult nature of investigating the death of a child, they remained focused on following the evidence and conducting a thorough and objective investigation.
“We are grateful to the agencies that assisted throughout this investigation, particularly the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office for its continued coordination and assistance.
“Our thoughts remain with Kathleen Pulido and all those affected by her death.”
