SCRANTON and DUNMORE, PA — Young artists from Wayne and Pike counties have placed in the Northeast PA 2025 Scholastic Art Awards. Their works are on display at the Everhart Museum and at Marywood University through Sunday, March 2.

The Everhart, in affiliation with the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, announced the winners.

The Scholastic Art Awards is the nation’s longest-running recognition program for creative teens. The Everhart Museum has hosted the competition for the northeastern PA region since 2018.

The Alliance for Young Artists and Writers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; its mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their work to the world. Through the awards, students receive opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication and scholarships.

The northeastern Pennsylvania region includes Clinton, Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northumberland, Pike, Schuylkill, Snyder, Susquehanna, Union, Wayne and Wyoming counties. In 2024, over 400 artworks from 40 schools were entered into the competition.

The Everhart is exhibiting the Gold Key and American Vision Award-winning works. The exhibit closes on March 2.
