ALBANY, NY — As the 2025 legislative session came to a close, Senator Peter Oberacker highlighted a slate of key victories that advanced out of the State Senate—efforts that reflect his ongoing commitment to making New York more affordable, championing our hero veterans, and supporting school-based healthcare networks.
“My office set an aggressive legislative agenda this year focused on transparency, accountability and standing up for the hardworking families across the 51st District,” said Senator Oberacker. “I am incredibly proud to report that we have delivered.”
One of the most notable victories of the session was the Senate’s passage of the Food Safety and Chemical Disclosure Act, landmark state legislation sponsored by Senator Oberacker that bans Red 3, potassium bromate, and propylparaben while reaching new levels of transparency to New York’s food manufacturing industry.
Additionally, many initiatives Senator Oberacker advocated for this session successfully passed on the Senate Floor, including:
“While these are tangible results that we’re proud of, there’s more work to be done,” said Senator Oberacker. “My constituents sent me to Albany to fight for our shared values and to be a voice for common sense. We will continue to do just that.”
