WAYNE AND PIKE COUNTIES, PA — The River Reporter will host a candidate forum with candidates for statewide offices covering Wayne and Pike Counties on Thursday, October 8.
The forum will take place in the auditorium of the Wayne County Park Street Complex, 648 West Park St., Honesdale, starting at 6 p.m. Candidates will discuss a range of topics of significance to voters throughout Northeast Pennsylvania ahead of the elections of Tuesday, November 3.
"Hosting these community forums helps the River Reporter further its mission of informing the public about the issues which most matter to them, and aligns with its historic track record of hosting events and discussions that help further the community conversation," said River Reporter Editor Liam Mayo.
Candidates for Pennsylvania State Senate District 20 and District 40, and candidates for Pennsylvania State House District 111 and District 139 have been invited to attend.
The public is invited to attend. While there is no livestream planned, the forum will be taped and recorded for future distribution. The River Reporter is partnering with Radio Catskill to record and distribute the forum, and thanks Radio Catskill for its collaboration.
Community members are invited to submit questions for the forum ahead of time through a Google Form, available here. In-person attendees will also have the opportunity to submit questions for consideration.
