TOWN OF HIGHLAND, NY — The River Reporter will host a candidate forum with the candidates for the position of Town of Highland Supervisor on Monday, October 19.

The forum will take place at the Highland Community and Senior Center, 725 State Route 55, Eldred, NY, starting at 6 p.m. Candidates will discuss a range of topics of significance to voters in the Town of Highland ahead of the elections of Tuesday, November 3.

"Hosting these community forums helps the River Reporter further its mission of informing the public about the issues which most matter to them, and aligns with its historic track record of hosting events and discussions that help further the community conversation," said River Reporter Editor Liam Mayo.

Both the Democratic/Lifting Neighbors candidate and the Republican candidate for supervisor have agreed to participate in the forum.

The public is invited to attend. While there is no livestream planned, the forum will be taped and recorded for future distribution. The River Reporter is partnering with Radio Catskill to record and distribute the forum, and thanks Radio Catskill for its collaboration.

Community members are invited to submit questions for the forum ahead of time through a Google Form, available here. In-person attendees will also have the opportunity to submit questions for consideration.
